Worship suspended: Covid-19 update
Dear St. Philip members, Grace and peace to you, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Out of an abundance of caution and under the guidance of Southeast Michigan Synod Bishop Donald Kriess, our Church Council and Pastor Branden have decided it is best to suspend worship at St. Philip until Palm Sunday, April 5. Our conference pastors have also decided to cancel the remainder of our Lenten midweek services. In order to continue worshipping, we will be recording services and posting these videos on our Facebook page as well as sending them out via email. If during this time you wish to recieve communion, Pastor Branden and Carm Yero will be available to serve you in your home. You can call or text Pastor Branden or email the church office to make an appointment. The church office hours are as follows: Monday - 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday - 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday - 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. We will be available to serve communion and pray with you during these times, but we ask that if you are sick or think you have been in contact with someone who is sick, please stay home. If you are in need of food assistance or grocery delivery, please do not hesitant to contact the church office or Pastor Branden. If there is any other way we can support you at this time, please let us know. If you still wish to support St. Philip during this time, please consider using Tithe.ly to send financial donations. You can also send your weekly donations via USPS or drop them off in our mailbox. We are currently working to develop a list of local resources for those who will be affected by this health crisis. If you know of any organizations offering assistance, please let us know. “For we know coronavirus is not the ruler of the universe, but rather the risen Christ.” In the Unity of the Spirit, St. Philip Lutheran Church
